Privacy policy
Last updated 3 November 2026
The short version: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, shows no ads, loads nothing from third parties and has no forms. The only personal data involved is what any web server sees when you visit, and whatever you choose to send us by email.
Who is responsible
TraceApi is a brand of Gancio LLC, [registered address], which is the controller of personal data processed through this website under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Privacy questions: privacy@gettraceapi.com
What this website does not do
- No cookies of any kind.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or advertising.
- No embedded content from other sites. Fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact Google or any other font provider.
- No forms, accounts or sign-ups.
When you click “Got it” on the privacy notice, your browser stores one entry
(traceapi-notice) in its own local storage so the notice is not shown again.
It never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Because it only remembers a choice you
made, it does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3)). You can delete it
at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, operated by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. To deliver the pages and keep the service secure, GitHub’s servers automatically process technical data such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and your browser’s user agent.
- Purpose: delivering the website and protecting it against abuse.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Transfer outside the EU: GitHub is a US company. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Retention: as set by GitHub. We do not access or receive these logs. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
If you email us
If you write to one of our addresses, we process your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message, only to reply and to follow up on your request.
- Legal basis: steps you asked for before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), otherwise our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Provider: our email is hosted by Zoho Corporation B.V. in its EU data centres.
- Retention: we delete correspondence when it is no longer needed, and at the latest 24 months after our last exchange, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy (Art. 15);
- correct it (Art. 16) or delete it (Art. 17);
- restrict how we use it (Art. 18) or give it to you in a portable format (Art. 20);
- stop processing it where we rely on legitimate interest (Art. 21).
Write to privacy@gettraceapi.com. We reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work.
Changes
If this website starts collecting anything new, for example when the TraceApi service relaunches, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
